Linear
Assign a Linear issue to Macaron and get the pull request back in the issue.
Set it up
In the desktop app, open Settings → Integrations and turn on Run threads on this Mac. In the Linear card, press Connect workspace: macaron.sh opens in your browser, you sign in if asked and a Linear admin installs Macaron in the workspace. Back in the app, press Refresh and pick a repository for each team, so its issues know where to work.
Start a thread
Assign an issue to Macaron, or mention @Macaron in a comment on an issue. The thread gets the issue’s title, description and comments, and the comment that mentioned Macaron. Its repository is the one picked for the issue’s team; write repo: owner/name in the issue or the comment to use another. With neither, Macaron says so in the issue instead of starting.
Follow along
Macaron answers in the issue’s agent session within seconds: queued, then working on which Mac, with the agent’s progress as it goes. When it finishes it posts the summary, how many files changed, the pull request and the screenshots and recordings the agent took as proof. The pull request is also attached to the issue.
Follow up or stop
Reply in the agent session to send a follow-up to the agent. Press Stop in Linear to stop it; Macaron confirms in the session. After a thread is done, a new reply starts a new thread that knows what the earlier one did.
Good to know
Anyone in the workspace who can assign or mention Macaron can start threads that run on your Mac with your GitHub access, so connect only workspaces you trust. Questions the agent asks while it works, such as approvals, are answered in the Macaron app. To disconnect, use the bin button in the Linear card, then remove Macaron in Linear under Settings → Applications.
