GitHub and repository access
Connect the account that can read and push your repository.
Clone a repository
Use Add Project to open a local folder or clone a repository. For a private repository, authenticate on the computer where the clone will run. A GitHub sign-in on the website does not automatically authenticate every local or remote shell.
Authenticate the GitHub CLI
If a repository action reports that GitHub CLI is missing, install it on the selected computer. If it reports that you are signed out, complete the GitHub CLI login flow there. Check that the account has access to the repository.
gh auth login
gh auth statusPush and pull requests
Review your branch and diff before pushing. Repository access controls whether the account can push or create a pull request. If access fails, confirm the remote URL, the active GitHub account and your permissions on that repository.
