Website analytics and app identity

Use your own app icon and collect website visits only after the owner enables analytics.

Use your own identity

Macaron discovers a website favicon during its public page check and caches a small PNG. The app list, app header, selected app browser tab and customer chat use that icon. In App settings, set Logo URL to override it with a public HTTPS PNG, SVG, JPEG or WebP image under 256 KB. Native apps can set the same logo URL. Clearing an override restores website discovery on the next page check. Private images, active SVG and private network URLs are rejected.

Enable visits and page views

Open Apps, choose your website, then Analytics. Collection is off by default. Choose Enable analytics to authorize collection for the saved website origin. Install the same Macaron website snippet used for customer chat; analytics can run even when chat is off. Open the website and return to Analytics to see its first eligible event. No history is backfilled, and adding a website URL alone does not provide traffic data. Disable analytics to reject new events immediately. Changing the website address also turns collection off until you enable it again.

Understand the numbers

Choose 7 or 30 days for visits, page views, daily totals, top page paths and referring hostnames. A visit counts one browser tab per UTC day, not one person. SPA pathname changes and restored pages count as page views; query-only changes do not. Blockers, hidden pages and privacy settings can reduce counts. Visit counts are a lower bound after 10,000 tabs per app per day. Support conversations, report activity, link opens and verified Stripe paid totals are shown separately as all-time support outcomes; link opens are not purchases and these metrics are not a conversion funnel.
